We are looking to display total number in donut chart.
Is it possible?
Number display in the center should display total when we do not mouse hover over any section of donut.
But if hover over any section, it should show that particular number in center. Look at image below.

As this is a duplicate of a ticket opened in the Support system, I will copy my answer here as well for the community, but please keep the communication in one place.
In order to achieve the desired behavior, I decided to implement the described custom implementation.
It includes a Donut Chart and a div element with dynamic content that is placed in absolute position.
Here is the dojo example that I prepared for the case:
