Roadmap

Our Data Grid component is receiving two major enhancements: responsive columns and built-in print functionality. Responsive columns will allow the grid to automatically adjust column visibility based on the browser window's width, ensuring an optimal display on any device. The built-in print functionality will enable users to print the grid content alone, either by hiding irrelevant page content with print CSS or by printing a separate page with just the grid. These features enhance usability and provide greater flexibility in data presentation and reporting.

We are introducing several enhancements to our charting capabilities, designed to improve data visualization and accessibility. Users can now apply patterns in chart rendering, adding a new dimension of visual distinction to data points. In scenarios where no data is available, charts will display 'No Data' label, ensuring clarity and user awareness.

Further enhancing accessibility, we have improved the Sankey diagram with keyboard navigation for nodes and links, as well as right-to-left support. These updates ensure our charts are not only visually appealing but also inclusive and accessible to all users, reinforcing our commitment to delivering comprehensive and user-friendly data visualization tools.

Vue 2 reached End of Life (EOL) on Decemeber 31st, 2023 as announced by Vue.js. Our team at Kendo UI for Vue will continue full support of Vue 2 until our last release of 2024 in November. This includes new features, bug fixes, security support and customer support. After November 2024 we will discontinue the support of Vue 2 entirely.

This product reached EOL in May, 2024. To ensure smoother transition we provide support till May, 2025. Check here details and migration guidelines. This should not be confused with Kendo UI for Vue which are our 100% native Vue.js components (no jQuery dependency). We strongly encourage you to work with the native implementation linked above.

A significant overhaul to our Figma UI Kits is on the way! Central to these updates is the introduction of a rich variables library, seamlessly integrated with our design system. This library includes dynamic color, spacing, and radii variables, ensuring consistency and flexibility across your designs. Additionally, we're enhancing our Typography and Elevation systems to provide even more design possibilities. Dark mode enthusiasts will rejoice as we introduce Dark mode options, complemented by common theme color swatches. Our file structure has been revamped for improved organization, making it easier than ever to find what you need. Stay tuned for the addition of new components, including updates aligned with MS Fluent 2. Detailed component descriptions and improved color contrast are planned later in the year. Get ready for a smoother, more efficient design workflow with our upcoming Kendo and Telerik UI kits for Figma upgrade!

We are introducing a new unified color system across all Kendo themes, ensuring a shared palette of colors. This enhancement will foster consistency and efficiency in styling across various themes, while also decreasing the size of theme files. For additional details, refer to our blog.
